The third temple of Panch Kedar is located in ugnanath, around 3.5 km away from Chopta. Camping in the open grassy meadows of Chopta that slopes on softly, among alpine, pine, deodar and rhododendron trees is soul-fulfilling. The snow-covered peaks of Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Chaukhambha dominate the panoramic views are seen in Chopta
Itinrary
Delhi to Chopta ( drive) Departure in the Morning drives to Chopta via Devaprayag, Rudraprayag, Ukhimath. Arrive in Chopta and check in at Camp. Overnight stay in Camp.
- Chopta to Tungnath Chandrashila Back Chopta (6kms Trek one side)
- Morning drive to Tungnath trekking point and start trekking Tungnath
Chandrasila (6kms approx.both side 12kms trek) - Tungnath is the highest Shiva temple in the world and is the highest of the five Panch Kedar Temples located in the mountain range of Tungnath
